In this course, you will be introduced to the history, background and philosophy of the Tradition. In addition, you will learn the purpose of meditation, will be taught the Tradition’s basic form of meditation, and will practice it during the class.

Heresy, History, or Her Story? The Tradtion, the Cathars, and the Gospel of the Beloved Companion

In this course you will be introduced to the present-day Tradition, as well as its history, specifically as it pertained to the medieval group known as the Cathars. This course will also dive into the role of the Gospel of the Beloved Companion as a central philosophy of the Tradition today. The course will cover:

Introduction to the present-day Tradition
The Tradition and its historical relationship to the Cathars
The history of the Gospel of the Beloved Companion
The role of the Gospel as the central philosophy of the Tradition today
The Gospel of the Beloved Companion: The Introduction
The Gospel of the Beloved Companion: Essential Philosophy
Questions and discussion of the day's material

Laconneau & GBC Intermediate Weekend Seminar

This two-day seminar builds upon the knowledge previously gained about the Tradition and the teachings and philosophy contained in The Gospel of the Beloved Companion, upon which the Tradition is based. The seminar blends information from the Laconneau Level II Intermediate Course and the seminar on "The Teachings of the Beloved Companion". The weekend includes practical experience with the Tradition's basic form of meditation.
Prerequisite: Attendance at a Level I Course, the Enlightenment Seminar or "Introduction to the Laconneau Tradition and its Meditation".
